Pedestrian Tips.

As many people are out and about walking around Midtown and greater Grand Rapids it is important that we all stay whenever we travel. Below are a few helpful reminders and tips when walking to your favorite places.

Driver Tips.

Living in Michigan all the seasons can present challenges when driving. Be mindful of your space around and the other modes of traffic on the roadways.

Wildlife is often near roadways. To help avoid a collision with a deer, make sure you’re always aware of your surroundings. Keep in mind that deer are herd animals that frequently travel together. If you encounter a deer, brake firmly, blow your horn and wait for the deer to pass.

To be prepared for Michigan winter make sure your tires are properly inflated and have enough tread on them. New wiper blades and winter-grade windshield washer fluid in the reservoir will ensure the fluid doesn’t freeze on your windshield. Since cold temperatures are tough on car batteries, you also want to make sure your battery is charged ready to go.
