Thank you for your interest in joining the Midtown Neighborhood Association’s Board of Directors! Our board is made up of passionate and engaged Midtown residents who are working to further the mission of the Midtown Neighborhood Association. Our mission is to unite neighbors in a volunteer capacity, build pride in the neighborhood, and create an attractive community in which to live, work, and play.

Board Member FAQ

who can serve on the board?

Anyone who lives, works, or owns property in Midtown (18 and older) are welcome to apply.

How long is a term?

A term for a board member is three years. An average of 4 hours a month fulfills your commitment as an MNA board member.

What is the meeting schedule?

The board meets once a month for a neighborhood-wide meeting every third Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm-9:00pm, excluding August and December. Additional meetings include: Committee meetings as needed, yearly strategic planning meeting, and extended board retreat.

How do i serve?

You are expected to serve on at least one committee. Committees create space for dedicating time to specific topics. See ‘Join a Committee’ page for details.

what activities does the mna promote?

The MNA promotes several activities that further our mission, including neighborhood clean-ups, Dumpster Day, neighborhood meetups, and more!

what am i expected to contribute?

Your presence and gift of time are expected throughout the year in order to be an active and devoted board member. Additionally, board members are encouraged to give a yearly financial contribution (based on your means).

how will i be onboarded?

  2. A board member or staff person will meet with you one on one.

  3. We encourage neighborhood meeting attendance prior to onboarding.

  4. Formal public vote to join board
